Gallery Town welcomes Community Arts Apprentice!

Gallery Town is pleased to welcome Gemma Fenoughty, a Community Arts Apprentice from Rotherham College. Gemma has previously completed an Extended Diploma in Art and Design, a qualification for which she studied the works of both historical and contemporary artists, as well as developing and creating her own work and artistic concepts.

The Community Arts apprenticeship incorporates both full time work and studying at college. The one year placement provides training and skills necessary for a career in the creative & cultural industry.

Gemma said, “I took the apprenticeship as an alternative to staying on at college as I felt that learning in a working environment would teach me valuable skills.”

Project Manager, Ged Omar said, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Gemma to our ever-growing Gallery Town team. We are glad to be in a position of being able to offer the next generation of workers an opportunity to explore their creative talents within an employment setting. Arts apprenticeships are a great idea and alternative to full time further educational studies. We are sure Gemma will enjoy her time working with Gallery Town, gaining invaluable skills and going on to have a strong future working in the arts.”RCAT_logo
